This website is operated by EMB ABLE SOLUTIONS LTD, trading as Able Bathing. Company number SC878973. Registered office: Summit House, 4–5 Mitchell Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH6 7BD.
We design, supply and install accessible bathrooms across Scotland. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to the following Terms, Conditions and Privacy Policy.
2. Website use
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not:
- Use the site in any way that may cause damage, disruption or impairment.
- Attempt to access data or systems without authorisation.
- Copy, reproduce or distribute our content without permission.
You may print or download sections of the website for personal use only.
3. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms, Conditions and Policies at any time. The most current version will always be published on ablebathing.co.uk. Continuing to use our website or services means you accept any updates.
4. Price guides, quotations, deposits and bookings
- All quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
- A deposit is required to confirm your booking and secure materials and installation dates.
- Once a deposit has been paid, it becomes non-refundable as materials, schedules and resources are allocated.
- If no deposit has been paid and the job is not yet booked, there will be no cancellation fee.
5. Cancellation policy
- Cancellations must be made in writing.
- Deposits are non-refundable once a project is booked.
- If cancellation occurs after work has commenced, you may be liable for the cost of labour, materials or services already supplied.
6. Third-party supplier conditions
We work with trusted suppliers to ensure quality materials. However, Able Bathing cannot be held responsible for delays, shortages or delivery failures caused by external suppliers. We will always keep you informed and take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.
7. Payments, completion and warranties
- Final payment is due on the day of project completion.
- Your warranty becomes active only once full payment has been received.
- Withholding payment due to minor snagging issues is not permitted if the bathroom is complete, safe and in use.
- Any minor adjustments identified after completion will be resolved under our warranty at no additional cost.
- Failure to make full payment may void your warranty until the balance is settled.
8. Existing plumbing, electrical and building conditions
While we take every care to assess your existing plumbing, heating, electrical and structural works before beginning installation, Able Bathing cannot be held liable for any hidden or pre-existing defects that become apparent during or after our work.
If such issues arise, we will:
- Inform you immediately; and
- Quote for any additional materials, labour or time required.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Hidden leaks, faulty pipework or defective drainage.
- Unsafe or non-compliant electrical systems.
- Subfloor damage, damp or rot.
- Insufficient water pressure or heating system issues.
- Structural weaknesses or building irregularities.
Any necessary remedial work will be charged separately and must be approved before proceeding.
9. Promotions and special offers
Promotional offers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion unless stated in writing.
10. Complaints procedure
We aim to provide a professional and caring service. If you are dissatisfied, please contact us directly on 0800 151 2250. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 working days.
11. Telephone call recording
For quality and training purposes, calls to and from Able Bathing may be recorded. Recordings are stored securely and accessed only by authorised personnel.
12. Force majeure (events beyond our control)
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including weather, illness, material shortages or supplier issues. Work will resume as soon as practicable.
Estimated start dates are provided at the time of booking and represent our planned schedule for your project. However, we reserve the right to amend the start date where circumstances beyond our reasonable control — such as weather, illness, material delays, supplier issues or a previous project overrunning due to unforeseen circumstances. Able Bathing cannot be held liable for any changes to the start date caused by such events. We will notify you of any changes as soon as reasonably possible.
13. Limitation of liability
We will not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses.
- Damage arising from misuse, neglect or alteration of our installations.
- Temporary inconvenience during renovation work.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by our negligence.
14. Privacy and data protection
