VAT relief
0% VAT may apply to eligible bathroom adaptations.
HMRC allows qualifying bathroom adaptations to be zero-rated when the work is necessary because of a disability and is carried out in the person’s private residence. Eligibility depends on the person and the work being completed.
If the work qualifies, eligible installation work can be zero-rated alongside the relevant products. We’ll explain the eligibility declaration and show the VAT position clearly in your written quote.
